The impassioned designer behind the Allura, Kharma and Essentia collections, the Joanel's designer, Johanne Boivin, has worked in the fashion industry for more than 30 years.

Before she started Johanne Boivin the designer, work often took her to Europe and Central America, where she was able to learn how to tan and process hides first-hand.

Driven by her passion for design, it was in 1991 that her first line of handbags was conceived. Her vision: to create handbags and accessories that would stand out both for their style and quality, and meet the needs of the modern woman. Her concept of intelligent and functional design influ-ences each creative decision.

Today, Johanne Boivin the designer  has attained enviable status as a trend-setter by creating handbags with unique flair. The company is considered Canada’s industry leader in handbags and leather goods.
